Soror Martha Dixon

Soror Martha Dixon was a proud Georgia native, born in Fitzgerald and later serving communities in Valdosta through her lifelong commitment to service and education.

She was inducted into the Kappa Psi Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated on November 22, 2020, where she quickly became an active and impactful member. Soror Dixon contributed to several committees, including Operation Warm Heart, Scholarship, Awards and Achievements, and Social Action. She also played a key role in supporting and expanding the Kappa Psi Sigma Rhoer Club, helping it earn the 2024 Southeastern Region Rhoer Club of the Year Award, and was honored as KPS New Soror of the Year.

Through her servant leadership and dedication to youth development, Soror Dixon embodied the sorority’s commitment to Greater Service, Greater Progress, leaving a lasting legacy within the chapter and the Georgia community she loved.

Soror Maria Phelps

Soror Maria Smith was a proud Georgia native who dedicated her life to service, education, and sisterhood. She was an active member of Pilgrim Rest Primitive Baptist Church in Butler, Georgia, and served her community as an elementary school educator, impacting countless young lives.

In 2010, Maria was initiated into the Lambda Beta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated at Valdosta State University, where she also served as Basileus (Chapter President) during her undergraduate years. Through her leadership and commitment, she embodied the values of sisterhood, scholarship, and service, leaving a lasting legacy within the sorority and the community she loved.

Soror Reynelle Jackson

Soror Reynelle Jackson was born in Augusta, Georgia, and raised in Bartow, where she was known for her strength, determination, and uplifting spirit. She attended schools within the Jefferson County School System before continuing her education at Valdosta State College, where she pursued a degree in Biology.

In Fall 1992, Reynelle was initiated into the Lambda Beta Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Incorporated as a member of the Fourth Generation, “Essence of Surprise.” She served as Basileus (Chapter President) and actively contributed to the sorority’s mission through leadership and community service efforts, embodying the principles of Greater Service, Greater Progress. Her legacy of sisterhood and service continues to live on through the Soror Reynelle Jackson Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded to a member of the Lambda Beta Chapter.
