The KPS Family is made up of the Lambda Beta Undergraduate Chapter (Valdosta State University), the Upislon Kappa Undergraduate Chapter (Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College), the Philo Affiliates, the Rhoer Club, and the Rhosebud Club.

The Lambda Beta Chapter
The Lavish Lambda Beta Chapter was chartered on October 22, 1988 on the Campus of Valdosta State College, now Valdosta State University by the Zeta Psi Sigma Chapter of Albany, Georgia.
The charter members are Soror Cassandra Lawson, Soror Sharon Spencer, Soror Lawanna Barron, Soror Consuelo Weaver, Soror Keren Preston, Soror Jewel McKever and Soror Alfie Armstrong. Soror Mary Barron was our Inaugural Campus Advisor for 10 years.

The Upsilon Kappa Chapter
The Unbreakable Upsilon Kappa Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. was chartered on April 16, 2022, at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (ABAC). The charter members are Soror Brittany Berry, Soror Denise Duggins, Soror Talia Guthrie, Soror Tori Williams, and Soror Moesha Dorsey. Sorors who were members of the Southeastern Regional Undergraduates are Soror Brittany Burks, Soror Alyssa Stubbs, Soror Jireh Jones, and Soror Jhonelle Chambers. The first ever advisor was Soror Sharon Daniels. The chapter made history as the first organization of the National Pan-Hellenic Council and the first African American Sorority to be on campus.

The Philo Affliate
The members of the Kappa Psi Sigma Grad Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., approved and supported the establishment of a new affiliate in Valdosta, GA, composed of 15 dedicated, ambitious, smart, and, last but not least, hardworking women. Since their inception, these ladies have become renowned for their service throughout the 9 counties also serviced by the Kappa Psi Sigma chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. Not only have our “friends” worked side by side with us, but they have also created and implemented successful initiatives that positively impact the lives of needy families, promote health awareness, and support other organizations in healthcare, advocacy, and education. The affiliate has been nominated, acknowledged, and recognized at all levels (Locally, Regionally, and nationally) throughout the Philo Organization. Our membership has seen some changes in numbers, leadership, and advisors, but the Golden Spirit that rose on that fateful day in January of 2020 has not dwindled.
Some of the initiatives and recognitions that we are proud of are:
• Annual KPS Philo Health/HIV Awareness and Resource Fair.
• Annual financial donation to an oncologist within our 9 servicing counties.
• Working with the Salvation Army & Toys for Tots to ensure every child possible can enjoy opening a gift on Christmas morning.
• Mayoral Proclamation in Lowndes & Thomas County for our community contributions during our Annual KPS Philo Health/HIV Awareness and Resource Fair.
• Back To School Drives with schools, organizations, and businesses in our 9 servicing counties.
• Our historic imprint on the processes within the Philo Affiliate Organization as a whole, and the creation of the Herstory Project, spans back to affiliates nationwide from the inception of the organization in 1943.
• Multiple awards won for Advisor of the Year (Regionally & Nationally), Affiliate of the Year (Regionally & Nationally), and Philo Member of the Year (Locally, Regionally, & Nationally).

The Rhoer Club
The KPS Rhoer Club is an affiliate of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc.
The Rhoer Club consists of a diverse group of young ladies between the ages of 12 and 18 who demonstrate high scholastic standards. Rhoer Clubs are organized, maintained, and sponsored by local graduate chapters within each of the geographical regions of the sorority.

The Rhosebud Club
The Rhosebud Club, established in 2016, is an affiliate group of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., consisting of a diverse group of girls, ages 8 through 11.
Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. seeks to play a role in helping to cultivate girls as they grow into young ladies who are well-rounded and will embody the qualities needed to be good students and productive citizens.
Kappa Psi Sigma Chapter established our Rosebud Club in April 2021 and had our first welcome celebration in 2022 with 12 members. We have welcomed 54 members into the club. Many of our members have joined our Kappa Psi Sigma Rhoer Club, which are for young ladies ages 12 through 18.
